Whew, it's been buseh.
So I forgot to tell all you AU people that I met a girl while waiting on line to board the plane from AU! She lives in Letts 646. Yep, 2 floors above me. She likes video games, and she knows where Wilton is! One of her best childhood friends was Kat Hueglin. I was like, OMFG. I know who that is!!! She's a sophomore named Serena, and she likes video games! ^_^ Her preference is the N64. We started talking about how even "cool" guys can play video games, but the minute a girl does, she is immediately a dork (although that's never stopped me! :P) So next semester, I'm gonna try to get her to come to Gamers. ^^ We were like, Whoa, small world! I mean, first we met randomly on the line, and we were like, Hey, both from AU! Hey, both sophomores! Hey, we both live on campus! Hey, both in Letts! Oh, 6th floor vs 4th. Okay, not so bad, that's why we've never met. Wait, south side? Oh, we live directly above/below each other. ^^;; And then, New York vs. Connecticut. But, wait, you've heard of Wilton? Oh, you know a girl from my grade? Oh. Really wonky. It was a lot of fun, tho. ^^
Anyhoo, so yesterday I got up late because I did it again. Yes, my friends from home, especially Christa, will recall all the times I would tell them how I'd fall asleep on the couch instead of going to bed? Yeah. I did that. Right after my last LJ post, I made the mistake of lying down, and uh...I think I woke up at around 3 or 4, and then fell back asleep. And then at 5:50 am, I went, SHIT. Mom's gonna be up and down here in 10 minutes! My mom won't really care, but she'll be like, Well, that was stupid of you. Go to bed! And I don't like to worry her that I'm not getting a good night's sleep. So I quickly ran around, turned off all the lights, and stumbled around with my cell phone. My eyes were so dry. It hurt so much to get my contacts out. ^^;; Yeah, so after that, slept 'til 11:30.
Soo...late start, but then I made plans with the gang to go to the mall for some Christmas shopping. We also went shopping for some nice clothes since we're probably gonna go to a club tomorrow. I spent too much. There were so many good bargains and cute things! Oh poobah. This is the problem with having a job and no longterm goal to save up for. Anyway, so I only have two more people to shop for, and then I'm done. Also, we went to Piercing Pagoda where we got various piercings. Christa got second holes, Melinda got her cartilage done, and I decided to get both. I've been wanting to do it for so long, and at first I was going to build my way up, and just get the second holes, but then I realized that I had the time to take care of them now, and why would I want to have to come back? So I just did it all. Kate decided not to get second holes because she already had her cartilage and her belly button to take care of. I was so shocked at her daring, but her tummy is so cute! It looked really good. ^_^
And after the mall, we hung out at Christa's for a little bit. I feel sorta bad because we're always over there, and I think her mum gets annoyed. ^^;; Oh yeah, Melinda braided my hair, and this morning it's all curly! :D Woo. I think it looks so bizarre when my hair is curly. I'm just not used to it. My dad said it looked nice, tho. ^_^
It was a fun night. And at the end, after I dropped Kate off at her house, I was on my street, when a mouse popped its head out from the windshield! It was on the outside, and it was soooo cute! :D I think it was under this grate thing by the windshield wipers. It probably had gone under the hood when the van was warm and fell asleep. But man, I was freaking out that it was gonna jump and die! I drove soo slowly down my road and down the driveway. It was pretty ridiculous. And then another one popped its head up while I was in the driveway. I called Christa twice. I was like, Christa! What do I DO?! And she was just like, Calm down and leave it alone. It'll be fine. And then, CHRISTA! THERE ARE TWO OF THEM!!! They're soo cute! But now what do I do?! Oh man, it was pretty hilarious. Don't worry, though. I told my dad today, and then he sent me out to check under the hood. Some protective father he is. Psh. But he had a point. If there were any mice, they would just run from me. Anyway, there wasn't a colony of mice or anything under the hood, and nothing was damaged. So it was probably just a bizarre thing. I'm glad they didn't chew any wires or anything.
And then I successfully went to bed. I woke up having to pee at 6:30 and was wide awake. I used to desperately need 8 or 9 hours of sleep, but this year I've been getting maybe 7 tops an average night. So I guess I've adapted to that, but it's really frustrating because I don't want to get up at 6:30, so I end up dozing and falling back asleep after an hour or so. And then I wake up late, instead of ideally waking up at 8 or 9. Grrr. I think it might have also something to do with my cartilage piercing. Kate was right, it is a little too sore to sleep on. But it doesn't hurt unless I poke it or lie on it, which is good. ^_^ Hmm...now it's time to play the waiting game to see which parent notices I have 3 new piercings first... I don't think they'll mind, since my brother got away with an eyebrow ring, but it's funny because I mentioned it to my mum ages ago that I wanted it, but I doubt she remembers.
Today I don't have anything really planned. I have to run to Barnes and Nobles for my dad. He needs me to pick up a gift certificate, and he's laaazy. :P And I think I'll stop by Walmart to pick up some cotton balls for my ear care. Maybe later I'll go on the exercycle we have.
