As much as it hurts to see Tony’s face when he knows that McGee has been helping Ziva all along I didn’t find myself angry with McGee or anything. In fact it seems that I have nothing to complain this time. lol
Yeah, I know people already discussed this. But I just need to throw this out.
McGee has been there every single time Tony worried about Ziva. Hell, he’s been there watching his coworker interact this whole time. Of course he knows how much Tony loves cared for Ziva. It’s just not his place to tell what Ziva’s been up to, and I’m sure Ziva made him promise not to tell a single soul that he’s helping her to locate Bodnar, that she will tell Tony and maybe even Gibbs later when the case is over.
Being in the middle of Tony and Ziva at this exact time is not really a thrilling experience. Both are his friends. So believing that Ziva will eventually tell Tony, he just tried to stop Tony from snooping around and finding things out when Ziva is not ready.
It’s just very McGee. That’s what he do every time Tony snooping around Ziva’s desk. And we need to remember that McGee knows too well how bad things goes when Tony snooped around and then finding out things Ziva didn’t want him to know (at least not at that moment).
This goes for his comments too. I didn’t find his comment as too cruel or something. McGee is not that good at hiding things. Remember that time when Gibbs told Ziva that McGee couldn’t lie? He’s pretty much gullible compared to the rest of the team. I think he’s torn between keeping his promise to Ziva and letting Tony knows the truth. And Tony’s way of handling his anxiety and worry didn’t help.
But then all hell breaks loose and Tony showed up at the door of their crummy studio. And my heart breaks into pieces because his face like screaming you let McGee in and not me. But Ziva didn’t get angry or anything seeing him at the door and just lowered the gun and opened the door. To me, it says so much that she really intended to let Tony knows eventually.
