Seoul Garden

Yesterday, I passed my last requirements (inter- and intra-group evaluation of the previous week's team building activities) and took my last exam as an undergrad. Despite being horrendously stressed and nervous about it the day prior, the exam itself went fairly well, if I do say so myself. I'm certain I didn't get everything right, and my listening comprehension is as derpy as ever, but I hope I got a good grade regardless!

Afterwards my classmates and I went to Seoul Garden for a celebratory buffet lunch! I had no idea what to expect aside from vague ideas of Korean food. The place was pretty nice; wide tables with a built-in grill for every group of four. The food was all lined up along one side, and there were all these plates of meat strips and such as well as ingredients for soup. Further on were the dessert counters where you could assemble bowls of halo-halo, shaved ice or ice cream, and further on was the drink station. I think towards the back, you could commission bibimbap and such, but I mostly stuck to the first few.

The grill was amazing. I took a bunch of teriyaki beef and some non-spicy pork and... something else, and commandeered our tongs because I'm a derp who can't really use chopsticks. Cooking the meat for myself and eating the fruits of my "labor" was great! Though I had to stand up in my seat because it was too hard reaching out to the grill. Ah, the tribulations of the vertically challenged.

It was great fun to sit around, eat, and chat with my classmates and Jona-sensei outside of the classroom setting. There are so many things you get to know about people if you take them out of the classroom. Dom-chan talked about riding a jeepney on the top of the vehicle and her experiences in China. Carl-san proved to be this amazing worker juggling a kajillion jobs, trying to be a national athlete and teaching bartending and such. He can speak French, too! It sounded so classy~

Jona-sensei talked about her experiences in Japan, like someone attempting to pick her up at a train station, host clubs, and how this Japanese guy wouldn't help her carry her rice. I hope I get to go there someday, after all, though it'll probably be just as a tourist. Maybe to watch Perfume or Sound Horizon. *U*

The ice cream counter was great. I think I made five trips, though to be fair I only took two or three small scoops at a time. Vanilla, chocolate, and avocado! With sprinkles mmm~ I wish there was sauce, but it was yummy enough on its own that it didn't matter that much. \o/

Afterwards we split up, and avishi and sappherine and I headed off to Etude House. I found this super cute palette that I was aiming for -- much to my dismay, it was back at regular price. Hruu, I really wanted the blue-green shades! ;A; Then we went off to Missha. I should try for their BB Cream when mine runs out, but that'll be for a while and I really have to save up for it, first.

And now I am a bum. I really should get on those jobs so that I don't turn into a completely useless NEET. So far, I guess I'll be semi-inactive till the end of the year, just getting my clearance and tying up loose ends and working on my life skills, haha. Let's see.
