Finals are over and the new trimester starts next week. I love life right now.
Also, I picked up my flute for the first time in two years today. I am so rusty. I can still get a fairly decent sound out of it, but there's a lot of air noise over most of the notes that aren't mid-range, and I can't hold notes as long as I was able the last time I played.
I couldn't remember finger placements for most of my notes either, at least not until I got my hands on some of my old sheet music. Muscle memory is an amazing thing. I didn't know what my hands were doing, but they sure did.
Gah, I missed playing. I'd still be at it except my hands were starting to cramp so badly I couldn't press the keys properly (and playing a wind instrument all day almost non-stop is not good when you're no longer used to it. Light-headedness sucks.)
Note to self: don't go so long without playing again. Yikes.
