Personality: As a child, Misaki was very delicate and polite, often admired by her peers. Now, as a teenager, Misaki is a rough, overbearing tomboy. The cause of the change? Her father.
So it can be said that Misaki is an individual who's molded around her past. In her second year of junior high, her father left her and her mother and younger sister behind with nothing but a huge debt. She formed an unhealthy grudge for her father, and as a result, grew to detest boys, save for those who knew how to act with class. She turned into a tomboy and acted as a knight in shining armor for girls, wanting to protect them at all costs. Although her distaste for males mellowed out, she still flaunts some form of an awkward toughness around them out of habit. As anther outcome of her father's betrayal, Misaki landed a job at Maid Latte, a maid cafe, and began working as a maid to help support her family. However, due to the feminine, submissive nature of her work, she chooses to keep her job a secret from everyone- save for those whom she trusts entirely- in order to maintain credibility at her school as a leader, though her fellow classmates view her as a dictator more than anything.
Misaki's dictator image comes from her strict principles. She has high expectations and expects everyone to abide to the rules. Furthermore, when she has a goal in mind, she lets it shine through her actions and personality; she turned Seika High, a male-dominant school, into a campus that was more female-friendly because of her animosity. Her ability to crack down on others if they don't comply to her values is what made her intimidating and hated by the male students at her school, prior to when she began to let go of her disgust towards them.
In spite of these characteristics however, those who really understand Misaki know that she means well. She plays fair and won't bother anyone unless they're doing something out of line. She's a very righteous person, intolerant of any sort of behavior that will affect another person's well-being. Even while she was disapproving of boys, she would still seize any chance to save someone from being hurt, male or female; her prejudice only went up until a certain extent. She's also very determined to achieve her goals and will work hard at anything she does regardless of the obstacles. Because of this, she's done quite a lot for others, proving herself to be quite selfless.
Going to more personal lengths, Misaki is actually a very passionate, caring person beneath her tough complexion. She cares heaps more about her friends and family than she cares about herself. She will gladly put her well-being at stake to save any of them. On the other hand, if someone puts themselves on the line for her sake, she'll beat herself up for not being able to protect them. Misaki appreciates being saved, but doesn't necessarily like the idea of others sacrificing for her.
Misaki's most notable relationship would be the one she shares with Usui Takumi. Usui was the person who alleviated her hatred towards males. He was the first person to find out about her job at Maid Latte. He was the first male since the incident with her father whom Misaki grew to love and trust. Usui is her savior, her friend, her lover, her idiot. That being said, Misaki has unwavering faith in him, and constantly worries about him, knowing that his life isn't exactly what either of them would want it to be like.
Strengths/Weaknesses: Misaki is a resilient, industrious individual who strives to do her absolute best at anything she does; you'd really need to have these sort of traits in order to be president of the student council. She's one to put up a fight- a damn good one, depending on the circumstances- and will do anything to prepare for victory. Her perseverance has earned her many achievements at Seika High, academically and athletically. When Misaki has a goal, she'll chase after it and won't be moved or shaken by almost any threatening circumstance. She's also skilled at planning and coordinating.
However, Misaki's aggressive work-hard nature is what earned her an undesirable reputation. She can be overbearing at times, and may rule through fear instead of through respect, intentional or not. She also tends to disregard her own well-being when it comes to helping others; as a result, she gets injured quite often. When it comes to those whom she cares about, she tends to take their problems into her own hands, and ends up trying to pry into their business unwarranted. It should be noted that she's afraid of the dark. She's also a horrible cooker, and cannot do much physical labor.

First Person Sample: [ For everyone who notices the feed click on, it's obvious that Misaki's not a happy camper. Even after getting over the whole 'where am I this better not be a joke' stage, she's still pretty frustrated, though for an entirely different reason. It's been a long day of trying to adapt to her new surroundings, getting familiar with her PokéGear, and knowing how to handle her Squirtle. Unfortunately, the little guy's got a lot more energy than she does. ]
No, that's enough for today! We can do more things tomorrow! Just... calm down, okay?
[ And as expected, Squirtle doesn't pay much attention, continuing to frolic around in the bushes nearby. Misaki heaves a sigh and slumps down onto the grass, leaning back on a tree. ] If anyone has any tips on how I can get him to settle down, please share them with me. I would appreciate it.
Third Person Sample: Life in Johto was a thousand times more taxing than life in Japan ever was. Despite being in charge of an entire campus, having to work an undercover job to support her family, and having to deal with her complicated feelings for her idiot boyfriend, nothing beat worrying sick about her family and friends while having to fulfill the exacting task of training her Squirtle. It all happened so quickly; one minute she'd dozed off after a tiring day of work, the next she was given odd provisions to support her on some unknown 'journey' she'd been destined to go on. None of it made any sense to her, and trying to comprehend it was troublesome.
She told herself a million times over that it all wasn't real, that she'd been dreaming or hallucinating or something of the sort. But as days turned into weeks, the delusions suddenly became more real, and the more she pondered on the possibilities the more she grew homesick. The idea of the hallucinations brought her back to the time where Usui took care of her while she'd been delirious with a fever; the idea of the situation being a dream was scrapped, because everything was just too tangible to be fake.
It was horrifying beyond belief- not in the paralyzing way, but in the way where you felt the most helpless you've ever been. In the way where you realize that everything going wrong was out of your control. Misaki cringed at the thought of being stuck in this place forever; granted, under normal circumstances it wouldn't have been a bad thing, but this wasn't where she was meant to belong. She was needed back at Seika High with her mother and her sister and Usui and the Maid Latte staff and everyone else she had to have in her life.
Misaki glanced at her Squirtle bitterly, not out of contempt for the critter but for whoever brought her there, and she viewed her adventure as the road to being freed. If she could survive through this journey and do what she needed to do, perhaps it would provide her with the answers she needed to come up with a solution. There had to be a way to go back.
But answers or not, fact was she was going to be in Johto for a while. She would just have to make do with whatever she had and gradually work her way towards the resolutions she'd been waiting for. And the next step was to get a job at one of the restaurants in Goldenrod.
