Lowering the price of gas

Yes, because progress is only made through suffering.

It's pretty clear the current administration discussing this in the interest of limiting Global Warm- er... global climate change. (The global temperature's been going down for a decade, so the name had to change so everyone could stay worried about it.)

Right now, in this recession, people need to be able to afford things so we can propel the economy. Raising prices and reducing the amount of money people are willing to (or even capable of) spend (...ing) doesn't seem like it's gonna get us out of this hole.

Raising gas prices at a time when certain parts of the auto industry are really hurting could also put a lot of people out of work. And here I thought that keeping the employment rate high was a good thing.
