The good old days

It's nice to have the days back where math homework takes 30 minutes.  And chem exams take 20.  Chem lab seemed to run on forever today, but turns out it was only 45 minutes long.  Managed to trade my lab partner for a more driven girl from across the room, though, so we were actually done probably a half hour before anyone else.

Also, I think that Norman has some of the best dining around.  Not super high-class, but when you've got the perks of excellent barbecue and Tex-Mex and pizza (in addition to normal chain places) coupled with a small-town size, friendly people and a college campus...  man, it's nice.  And we're close enough to OKC and Edmond that if you want to go some place nice, you can.  And cap it off with a ball game in Bricktown or something.

If the OUHSC were in Norman, I'd have a tougher time going somewhere else for school (assuming I actually get in somewhere else.)

I receive a surprisingly regular flow of free stuff.  Last time my friends and I went out for barbecue (2 days ago), I got a free drink.  Tonight, at a pizza place, they upgraded the pizza my friend and I purchased to a large for free.  I drop by Jimmy John's a couple of days a week to pick up a loaf of bread to carry me until supper (I have about an hour, I like to much on bread between classes).  Used to be I bought day old stuff for .49, now they give me the fresh for free.  If the manager's not around, anyways.  I'd like to think it's something I do, but I've just kinda grown accustomed to being lucky.
