Magical place on earth

Dec 30, 2009 16:09

Dec 29th:

I took advantage of the special where you can get into Disneyland for free on your birthday. They even gave me a happy birthday button with my name on it and a my ticket which was also “special” XP

Danie, Kat and I left home about 6:20 am and got to Disney land around 7:30. On the way we blasted our Disney soundtracks.

Haha it was entertaining seeing how many other people shared the same birthday as me and also received sooo many birthday wishes from people who work there and just random people passing by. ^^

The whole park was still decked out for Christmas and Christmas songs buzzed through our heads throughout the day XP and DUDE WAS THE PARK PACKED! I was really amazed how many rides and attractions we managed to go on and still had several periods where we had time to just sit and talk. O_____________________O The fast passes invention is a brilliant thing. Once you know how to work the system, it’s a lot easier to get onto the rides you really want. (6 Flags needs to learn from Disney and make their fast passes Free)

The one thing I was not fond of was that every single ride was too loud. A long with my aching legs, feet and back; my ears were throbbing by the end of the day. D: Meanwhile, Katherine practically O.D.ed on soda, sugar, and Disney Magic. I was amazed we even made it home alive lol (jk)

What I really liked was all the Christmas lights that lit-up the entire park.

We hung around New Orleans enjoying the jazz and Mardi Grass (Note to self: Their Clam Chowder is surprisingly really good), watched Chip and Dale do a dance, Marry Poppins had a show too and we also saw this Christmas Parade that played this one song over and over and over and over again. The first time I heard it, it was fine, but after a while I it got extremely annoying. In the parade they had pretty much all of the popular Disney characters in it. The princesses, the dwarves, Woody, Buz, Mickey and Minnie, Goofy and Max, Donald and Daisy, Pluto…etc

We saw Princess Tiana’s performance which was really cute. It got my older sister to really want to go see the movie now.

I also watched Fantasmic, which was also loud but really cool and very colorful, great music and fun fireworks.

Disney even made it snow! I was a little depressed when I realized it was only bubbles…><

Then the fireworks that they do by the castle, they synced it to Christmas music (and the song O’Dreidel) It was really cool how well the synced the music to songs such as The Nutcracker.

When I was little I was afraid of fireworks because they were too loud. Now I’m not afraid anymore, but they are still too loud XP and so I have to always plug my ears.

Rides I went on and how many times I rode them:

The Pirates of the Caribbean - 3

Our first, middle and last ride of the day was The Pirates of the Caribbean lol We were totally dorks because we knew every line of the ride and song. It’s remarkable how well they made Jack Sparrow in the ride.

The Matterhorn -1

I’ve never ridden it before and it was fun, but I don’t think I’ll want to do it again. It hurt my butt ><

The Haunted Mansion - 2

The Haunted Mansion was Nightmare Before Christmas theme and it was totally awesome! Loud, but awesome! Yet another ride we all sang to. :P

Winnie the Poo & Friends - 1

There was no line for the Winnie the Poo ride so we went on. It was fun and nostalgic, reminding me of the old cartoon. (Another ride which was very loud) It wasn’t as much of an acid trip my sister said it be. For a moment I was worried I’d get dizzy on that ride.

Indiana Jones - 1

The Indiana Jones Ride was totally awesome! I’m sitting there humming along to the theme song. Oh and for practically every ride we went on, we had primo seats!

Tom Sawyer’s Island -1

It was okay… I only went on it for the nostalgia of a old Disney Video I used to watch when I was a kid XP

Splash Mountain - 0

Danie and Kat went on while I held their stuff; although that was my favorite and practically the only ride I ever went on as a kid, I didn’t go on it this time because it was dark and waaaaayyy too cold. (I felt like a total dork thinking to my self “OMG DBSK rode this ride” lol

Space Mountain - 1

I swear I did not remember that ride being so loud when I went on it manymanymany years ago. >< Though I do absolutely love the stars *oooh shiney* The end of the tunnel was really painful. There was this huge ring of colorful lights and then a flash from the camera. I so blinded by the first set of lights my eyes were shut tight when the camera flashed. The picture was hilarious because everyone had their eyes shut except for Katherine. She looked like she was perfectly photoshoped in, not even a hair on her head was out of place.

Peter Pan’s Flight - 1

Another nostalgia trip filled with good songs and pretty lights. Lol it was entertaining seeing what items we had glow. Katherine told me even my teeth even glowed. XD

It was fun. :D I was really amazed at how I could remember certain parts of the park so well even though it had been 9 years since I last visited the park.

The Jungle Cruise - 1

It’s really cool riding the Cruise at night! And the tour guide was very “punny” :D I LOLed and LMAOed.

Dude XD I think my birthday broke Facebook. I went on today to check and when I clicked the bubble that said I had 41 messages, the internet just froze. ><
