I’m back from Davis. Amazing how all my calc HW is done… the only thing not done is studying for Physics test tomorrow and SAT II…But I’ll pawn that off for another night. I’m exhausted from the 6 hour drive.
As expected I got no sleep Friday night because a certain mother of mine snores fricken LOUD. My dad couldn’t sleep either. Saturday I bought ear plugs and I actually got sleep. :D
Me: I’m going to have to put this on my guy list. “Are you smart? Do you like dogs? Do you snore?”
Carrie: XD
Loved Davis, the town and campus is totally me. ) It’s very suburban close and safe feeling. The air felt fresh and clean and rain or sine everyone travels by bike. (Thousands upon thousands of bikes) If I ever miss the city life I could ride to San Fran or Sacramento.
On the tour I saw a huge amount of friends/acquaintances from school/temple I didn’t expect to run into. (Mike Pepper, Shana, Maggie, Andrew…) Coincidentally they too decided to take a 6 hour trip up to Davis to visit my friend Sam Pell. We also met a girl, Jade, on the tour who is from Woodland Hills and goes to New Jew… unfortunately she doesn’t know who David is.
A booklet said the major population of the school was white and Asian. I’m watching through out the tour and I’m all *sob* Where are all the Asians. The ending of the tour was nearing and I only saw one Asian…good looking if I might add… and then we enter the gym. They were all in the gym playing/watching a badminton tournament.
After the tour I borrowed a bike from the hotel and Alison’s older sister, Carrie, gave me a tour of the town. Tons of Chinese and Japanese restaurants but not one Korean BBQ. D: The bike chain popped off two times, by the second time I was all "screw this I’m not getting my fingers mucky again." So we walked… A LOT. And we ate frozen yogurt... mmmm that was good... :)
On our way home today we stopped in Sacramento and looked at the Capital as well as some Siberian Crain’s. I took a picture standing under the Govinator's office door. Some Chinese tour group got so excited when the saw the sign "Arnold Schwarzenegger"
I also bought a pumpkin… not sure what I’ll carve this year. Last year I carved Seiji… I'm almost tempted to do something Changmin related this year.
There is a song stuck in my head and I don’t know the name of it… “So what I am a rock star”…"too hard"... and then there is a lot of “nanana na na”... “We’re gunna start a fight”
