[Final] 侍戦隊永遠
Samurai Sentai Shinkenger is finally over. I am personally much more disappointed with this incarnation than I was with 2008's Engine Sentai Go-onger, simply because I actually expected a lot from the very first Samurai-themed series, but nothing ever happened.
Bland, uninteresting heroes spending time on trivialities, versus mediocre villains doing anything but being a threat to the world despite their strong backgrounds. Weak supporting characters, bad storytelling and forgettable Robo designs.
It is hard to feel excited for Tensou Sentai Goseiger, although it should not be too difficult to create something better than Magiranger, Go-onger or Shinkenger. Michiko Yokote (Juken Sentai Gekiranger) will be in charge in 2010, but the previews are not so appealing so far.
I have to say though, Kamen Rider W has been incredible and Toei could still surprise me.
