this movie i actually watched on new year's eve, while i was getting ready for the party, but i missed parts. so, on january 2nd i rented it.
August Rush
is an orphaned boy that uses his exatraordinary music talents to find his parents.
and this movie did things to my heart.
it's not exactly cliche, although there is its moments. the direction was so gorgeous, which was a nice surprice, when i saw it was a woman directing, i had my doubts (i blame twillight for this misconception), but.. in the first 15 minutes, this movie had my total adoration. why? because it has a beautifully done mash-up of elgar's cello concert in e minor with the song something inside that was performed by the gorgeous Jonathan Rhys Meyers
if i could play another instrument it would totally be cello. i loved that they used elgar for this, the man was brilliant. i dont know many people who likes him
the movie is like a modern farytale, it's totally magical the way things happen, and the music?

i truly recommend everyone to see this one.
