I got my eighth badge shortly after bitching about Clair being a whore whiny bitch and not giving me my badge.

Eight more to go!  Kanto here I come!

I also got Ho-oh after resetting the game five times because I am saving my Master Ball for another pokemon and I only had eight Ultra Balls and that bastard kept popping out of Ultra Balls and pissing me off.
