URG, This is Why I Hate People!

I hate it when people hate what they create.

I mean seriously, if it was THAT bad of an idea, why are you still going with it? Why did you bring it to fruition in the first place? If it was THAT bad, you wouldn't want to show it to all your friends, so that when they comment and say "Oh it's so cool!", you get to scuff your feet on the floor and go 'Naw, it's crap.'

I am ashamed to say that I used to be one of those people. I still fall into the habit from time to time, but for the most part, I've cast that bit off of myself, and I plan on keeping it that way. Be PROUD of your work. Art, writing, programming... They're not all there just so you can scoff at it. It needs to be respected. I'm not an artist. Dis, I hate art, and I don't consider writing to be part of the 'Art industry'. Personally, I've always held novelists to their own standard. But I digress.

There's always room for mistakes. You have all the time in the world to edit, repaint, recreate your idea. You don't have to stomp all over it and whine like a bitch. There's not even anything to whine about, because PEOPLE LIKE WHAT YOU MADE! That's the worst part. Geez! Get your act together, and be proud of your work! I'm sick of hearing people come to me with these awesome paintings, pieces of writing, sculptures, what have you, and then completely shoot themselves down for NO REASON.

And another thing, to the same damn people, stop COMPARING YOUR WORK to people like Van Gogh, Tolkien, Hemingway, Michaelangelo and whoever else happens to be written down in history. YOU ARE NOT THEM. You don't GET to COMPARE your work to the MASTERS of ART. If you're gonna be going down in history, you will be GOING YOUR OWN WAY, not THEIRS, so stop it! There is nothing to compare. Your elements might be the same, you might have the same colors or brush strokes, but there's nothing more than that unless you attempted (Yes, I said ATTEMPTED) to recreate what they made. Oh and hey, by the way, when they made stuff they didn't like, they either SCRAPPED THEIR WORK or EDITED IT. They didn't whine like an idiot and say it wasn't good. They had the determination to stick it out and make it the way they wanted to make it. That's one of the reasons that they're held in such a high fucking regard. They were proud of what they did, and if you ever wanna get that far, you're gonna have to do the same. Stop being such a fucking attention whore!

GODS, this is why I hate people. =\
