I'm taking some people off of my friend's list. If you want to stay, leave a comment. If not, leave a comment and tell me you want to go.
Today, I went to Target and tried to apply for a job. Their application kiosks weren't working so I have to try next week. I'm pretty confident I'll get hired considering my six years of retail experience already. I'm applying for Assets Protection which is basically security. This doesn't mean I'm quitting Winn Dixie though. I'll keep my schedule at the W/D and work at Target on my days off from 4 to 11 pm. This is a good shift because I can sleep in and maybe pick up an extra morning shift at Winn Dixie.
So that means, I'll be working seven days a week, about 53-55 hours total. I'm only doing this until January. I want to save around $1500 for school. If it goes well, if I can handle all the work, I may just work the 8-5 shift at Target and take night classes. So that would be around 60 hours plus school. The one thing in my favor is I'm not doing all the "recreational" activities I was doing last semester, and all the semesters before that.
Tomorrow, I may have to go to Ft. Myers to help out some of my co-workers with the clean up of a store. Last week, Hurricane Charley blew it's roof off and dumped a few feet of rain into the store. It's a 4 hour drive there, I'd tack on another hour for delays due to damage and traffic. The e-mail says I have to be at my store at 6 am, and it gives me a long list of stuff I have to bring. (gloves, extra clothes, galoshes, rain coat, flashlights, etc.) I'd work there until 5 then make the 4 hour trek back home. Good thing is though, I wouldn't be driving.
