Rumors of something something something grossly exaggerated.
I'm still here! Granted, I tend to read more than post (and sometimes even comment), but I haven't abandoned LJ. I do miss the salad days, though. Ah well; all things in time and all that.
Let's see...stuff that has happened...
1. I am still living in Texas. I still don't like it here very much. It's far too hot and dry for my tastes. I tell people I miss winter and snow, and they all think I'm crazy, but I do.
2. I'm still working the same job I got when I started here. Which is good, since it was a temp position, but also bad, because it is a temp position. We'll just see where it goes. I suppose there is always a slim chance to get hired on permanently, but knowing the nature of the contract, I doubt it.
3. I'm still with Brett. It's going on...uh...wow, three years, in May-ish? Huh. That will officially be my longest relationship, ever. He likes the idea of marriage. I'm not sold on it. His mother keeps asking him when he's going to marry me. My parents are guardedly optimistic that hmmsomedaymaybe it'll happen. Maybe.
4. I was in a wedding! In Nebraska! Last September. XD kuchenhexe and yuuo tied the knot, and I got to be a part of the wedding. It was an absolutely awesome weekend, and I wrote up a big, long post about it in, like, October, and have not gotten around to posting it. -_- Maybe someday soon.
5. And then I got to vacation in Corpus Christi, and have decided that the ocean is the best thing, ever. In the winter. When the beaches aren't crowded. And it's not hot and humid. :P But we saw dolphins and turtles and tons of birds, and I got to collect seashells, and a good time was had by all.
6. I'm still writing! I also won at NaNo 2014, then proceeded to not finish the story. *headdesk* Oh well. The important thing is, I succeeded in the 50K part.
7. Other things happened. But they are minor and tend to get posted to Facebook. Which is my bad vice, because I really kind of hate Facebook, but everyone is there, so that's where I am. Bah. In the meantime, I still have this! And can still post things, and so I shall.
