Title: Done!
Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Characters: Anya(nka), Drusilla
Word Count: 296
Rating: PG
Summary: Set after Chosen, flashback set during Season 3, right before Wish
Sunnydale was destroyed, the First was stopped and Anya Jenkins was dead. The ex-human-ex-demon-ex-human-ex-demon had lost her life, was killed while helping to stop the Apocalypse.
However, no one would ever know how much they had to thank her. No one would know what had happened years ago in a dark alley in Rio...
She didn’t know the reason for her appearance in Rio. Someone needed vengeance, may be a girl left by her boyfriend who now wished him to live on the moon for the rest of his life - which would really be short. Anyanka grinned. Done! Or a woman who wished her cheating husband to hell. Done! Or...
She stopped. This wasn't a girl; the being in front of her was older, not as old as her, but far too old to be human. And there was something else, she could feel it right from the beginning, something was strange, something wasn’t right. She had known better and yet Anyanka didn’t bother.
The vampire seemed to be insane, but it didn’t matter. The weirder and more atrocious a wish was the better.
"Look who's come to make everything right again."
She stared at the vengeance demon.
“I want us to be a family again, my William. Naughty boy. Mummy had always told you to be careful. Still obsessed with the Slayer. Back to naughty Sunnydale. It’s cursed. Made you betray your family. Poor Angelus…”
Drusilla got exited.
“You're a killer. Born to slash ... and bash ... and... I wish my boy..."
She hesitated shortly.
"Can't hunt! Can't hurt! Can't kill!"
Done!
The Vengeance demon was caught by surprise. This wasn’t right; something was absolutely not right. She had to go to Sunnydale by herself. She needed to see what her wish had done…

The time was over. Suddenly, all was back, Buffy, the Mohra demon. One tiny moment, the demon was killed and Buffy was gone.
"That's it."
She would never know. From the moment the clock hand turned to nine she had forgotten the last day. It had never happened. He was the only one who could remember. The best and yet the worst day in his whole life would be only a memory and his alone. It was probably better she didn't know. The memory would break her heart even more and he didn't want her to be hurt. He had hurt her enough. However, it was the best solution of a bunch of painful plots. Without him leaving, Sunnydale would have been never safe. Angel huffed and a sad smile appeared on his face. Actually, Sunnydale wouldn't ever be safe at all. And yet, it wouldn’t have helped when he had stayed. His relationship with Buffy was cursed and so was he.
The last day had shown him that there was no hope for a proper relationship with the Slayer. As long as he was cursed it was impossible. Even if he would have stayed human, one of them would have been killed sooner or later. He was meant to suffer and the gipsies and Willow had done their best to ensure it.
He needed to be alone. When he headed to his apartment, Cordy stood in the doorframe, smiling, and he understood. He had to move on...
Title: The Girl Who Waited
Fandom: Firefly/Serenity
Characters: River
Word Count: 247
Rating: PG
Summary: River is waiting but no one knows for what...
She was standing in the cargo bay, her head tilted to the left, her arms hanging to her sides. The teenage girl could stand there for hours every day. Sometimes it seemed as she was frozen, just standing there, gazing into the void. Her behavior seemed strange to the rest of the crew, but then again, she was River. Nobody tried to understand her. River, was just River, brilliant, a genius, and sometimes a bit weird. Actually, the rating of her weirdness depended on who of the crew one asked.
After a while, the crew was used to see her standing absent in different parts of the ship, but most of the times in the bay. No one was really bothered by her appearance. Jayne would curse her from time to time and wished her and the doctor to leave the ship, but then again he had said it far too often. Things went on like they did before.
Even when Inara and then the Shepherd left, River was still standing in the cargo bay. Her moods were better by the time, still strange, but after the visit of Jubal Early, Mal seemed to value her as a crew member. He needed her psychic powers from time to time.
Only River was bothered. She didn't understand herself. She didn't know why she was standing there. It felt as if she was waiting; waiting for something she didn know, not yet.
Then she saw the code, and she knew, finally...
Miranda.
Title: Passengers
Fandom: Firefly, slight crossover with Angel
Characters: River
Word Count: 159
Rating: PG
Summary: River is waiting but no one knows for what...
The planet they had decided to land on was dark. As one of those furthest away from the core it always seemed to be right before dawn.
A few months ago, Mal would never have landed here if a job hadn't forced him to. However, after Miranda everything had changed. They needed some food for their endless journey through the void, as farer away from the alliance the better.
They only stayed for a few hours. That was when Serenity boarded two strangers. River was quite fascinated by them right from the beginning. Although the crew had sworn they wouldn’t take any passengers the payment and River's judgment finally made them to change their decision.
“They’ve good souls,” she said, “good souls, but they’re lost. They don’t belong here; they belong nowhere. They’re dangerous, but heroes, old, but young forever, together, but alone. Serenity is what they’ve searched for a long time. It’s exactly the right place for them.”
Title: Merry Christmas, Kaylee
Fandom: Firefly
Characters: Kaylee, Jayne, Mal, crew
Word Count: 221
Rating: PG
Summary: Kaylee looks forward to Christmas...
Her eyes gleamed with joy when Mal and Jayne arrived at Serenity. It seemed they had finally been successful. A great tree was packed on the mule which now landed in the cargo bay. The glee in Kaylee’s eyes was obvious to the others who were clearing some space for the tree.
They couldn’t remember how long she had tried to persuade Mal to have a proper Christmas this year. A Christmas like it had been celebrated on "Earth-that-Was" with a real Christmas tree, presents and everything else Kaylee had ever been heard about a traditional Christmas. Since Mal finally had given in a week ago, her excitement had risen with every single day. Actually, it wasn’t Kaylee alone anymore who was looking forward to the holidays. Somehow, the whole crew was more or less infected by the Christmas spirit. Only Mal and Jayne still seemed to be a bit grumpy.
When Jayne jumped from the mule he carried a small box. Oddly smiling at Mal, he came over to Kaylee and handed it to her, encouraging her to open it. She looked at him quizzical but couldn’t resist the urge to have a look on the mysterious content. A squeal of glee escaped her lips when she spotted the strawberries.
“Merry Christmas, Kaylee!”
This would be the best Christmas ever.
