I always do enjoy fic in this universe, because I do adore the viewpoints of the time (such as the men all being put into one cell so the woman can have one to herself. Still done in modern day, but the way it was written caught the mindset well), as well as the social interaction of characters who simply do not fit in this world.
The takes on each character themselves make the whole series make more sense: Joker's commentary on art and society, Riddler's need to mock, Penguin's attempts to be a rich socialite (even with his dirty dealings), Catwoman making her mark and taking advantage of her sex in order to accomplish her goals.
There were some parts of this story that reminded me of "Almost Got 'Im," like how their downfalls all came at the hands of the Batman, and how they are sitting around, discussing their stories of how they got here, and the steady progression into working together to get out.
As usual, your comedic timing is brilliant, like the indecency charge, and the lipstick comment.

Thank you! ^_^ Aside Tut they seem to know exactly what they're doing, rather than conventional Batverse where they're insane, sadistic, or compulsive. That's part of why I write them as having different backstories and motivations.
sense in a universe that normally makes very little?
The show's characters have these odd moments of self-awareness, where even they know how ridiculous their world is. I like to think the Rogues especially have that, but revel in it.
