Was talking to my co-worker, who had worked as a photographer for about 2-3 years before deciding that he wanted to do something else in engineering. Sort of discovered that I'm not really as much a photographer as I thought I was.
Or rather, that I'm of a different type than him.
- He's a portrait photographer, whereas I'm more of a landscape photographer... I dislike human presence in my photographs, unless they're essential to the balance in space.
- Interestingly (to me anyway) he's interested in lights and shadows, and would refuse to take photographs if the lighting isn't suitable. I'm interested in space composition, and will take photo regardless of lighting as long as the arrangement is interesting.
My interest in composition, I'm guessing, is the same thing for when I'm drawing... maybe.
