2007 Highlights

Jan 02, 2008 10:02

  • January
PC died. Which forced me to get a new hard disk, and solved my space crisis. New Year was spent at my Aunt's house.
  • February
Ling got married. Sadly, I couldn't attend the wedding. Workplace moved to Balcatta, effectively tripling the amount of time I need to get to and from work.
  • March
Don't think anything big happened this month. At least, I didn't write anything on LJ...
  • April
Workplace told me that I'd need to find a new job... indirectly. My workdays were reduced from 5-days a week to 3-days a week. Workplace seemed to be doing badly, judging from  that. Went rather emo.
  • May
Emo mode continued. Played fan-translated Tsukihime, which inspired me more than is healthy.
  • June
Workplace told me I'd need to get a new job. Was in panic trying to find an Assurance of Support for my PR application. Some people offered their help, and I can't express just how grateful I felt. Tried helping out at a web development company. Went to a job interview.
  • July
Found a benefactor for PR application. Finished all the necessary paperwork. House-sitting at Aunt's house again. Was told that I got the other job; left the web development company and started at the new job, somewhat reluctantly because I didn't really want to become a software tester again. My PR application was approved yay!
  • August
Managed to finish City to Surf. Am beginning to enjoy working at the new place.
  • September
A good friend's mother passed away. Again, miffed because I couldn't be there. Went to watch Cirque du Soleil. Got a payrise at work. Discovered the joy of being paid according to standard, ie., went shopping. Mostly bought working clothes though.
  • October
Not much happened. New manager started. The team, I think, is going to be awesome. ...or at least humorous.
  • November
Bought a Blue Moon shrub. Volunteered for Melbourne Cup. A childhood friend went home to Jakarta to visit his family after 5 years. Won NaNoWriMo.
  • December
Had the best Christmas I've ever had in the last.... say, 10+ years? Maybe more than that. I've never had so many presents...

Best Month? July, followed by December. Best thing? My Beloved, for enduring my whining and whinging throughout the whole year, and for what little time we managed to spend together.

butterfly, blessings
