A break of some sort.
.....probably the first Friday in such a long time that I'm home before 7PM. Which is good.
Went to COMSSA Quiz Night last night. Went there as a filler for a friend who didn't have enough people on his table, and mostly spent my time doing the Sudoku questions. Which was way difficult... and I just learnt how to do it in the afternoon. During lecture. Also learnt that my general knowledge on everything and anything was way, way poor. Which is to be expected, considering I never read newspaper/watch TV.
I reckon my brother would like Sudoku... except that he's usually not interested in something that would waste too much of his time (and has nothing to do with chemistry).
Small revelations are usually surprising. My somewhat-co-worker did a good job at that... just learnt today that his English skill way surpassed that of mine. Was reading a document together, and he kept on fixing the document... whereas when I had first read the document, I had thought that there was nothing wrong with it. But seeing him finding and fixing the errors, I realised that I didn't even detect those errors. On one hand, my respect for him soared up high to the infinite sky (and I already respected him highly even before that)... on the other hand, I feel so pathetic and ashamed of my own English skill. Damn it, would love to be able to use English better than this.
Haven't jumped on the bandwagon to watch FF:AC yet. Been planning to, been yearning to, and the first night I arrived home before 7 I don't even feel like watching... feels like sleeping. Watched the preview of some sort for it though... and I could only thought of 2 things.
1. I wonder if someone, anyone out there, will finally make a Vincent/Rufus fanfic. I got obsessed for reasons I never understood (probably because it's non-existant). But I simply thought... if there's a multitude of Cid/Vincent-shippers out there just because they shared a room in Gold Saucer... why not further that spark of creativity and extend the courtesy to a pair of people who never even met? ....or maybe they did, been years since I played FFVII... can't remember. I was just thinking... the fact that they never met, that would be a plot bunny... a plot bunny which has been breeding wildly in my head after someone posted a screenshot of how Rufus looks like in FF:AC.
2. Unless someone writes the above, I'm never, never ever touching/reading FF:AC fanfics. The fact that fangirls found weirdly pixelated characters hot (not that I didn't) and write mary-sues fic about the said characters (which I don't do, at least)... coupled with the fact that now they're no longer weirdly cubic and now are smooth/handsome/gorgeous/lustful/hot/sexy-looking... I cower in fear imagining the stampeding horde of mary-sues.
Just need to wait for Aunt to stop by, after which I can immediately sleep. Been lacking one lately.
