No... not really. But the theoretical and the factual feel different.

Confirmation can be powerful even for the most confident of beings.

That's not particularly descriptive.

It's hard to describe. But knowing something is true is a different thing than experiencing it directly. I'm only human--doubts are natural. And being told, being shown, is far more emotionally real than the intellectual knowledge is.
