Spock had been imprisoned before. Generally, however, he was caged with either Jim or Leonard and their aim was to achieve freedom. His jailer now was as accommodating as possible and Spock felt no need to engineer some sort of escape. While the immediate means for accomplishing such were not instantly apparent, there would certainly be some way - at the moment, however, he was serene and would remain so.
The mattresses were just as threadbare as they had looked while Ayel stacked them. But there was some protection from the hardness of the floor and a soothing warmth was creeping into the room. Spock brushed his fingers over the walls.

It was tempting to maintain contact with the wall, to pass the time in conversation with the Narada herself. But that would require her to split her attention, which hardly seemed fair. There was much to see and learn on the Enterprise. It would not do to jam her processors with too large an influx of data, to require too many simultaneous processes.
He sat to remove his boots. A thin blanket provided some illusion of comfort. But, Spock discovered as he attempted to find a comfortable position on his pallet, the real issue was the lack of bodies pressing on either side of him. His Jim and his Leonard. They were so far from him.
It was easy to reach out to Leonard’s mind, but there had not been enough practice to speak with him. Spock resolved to repair that situation. He did not desire to push Leonard into more than he was comfortable with but surely Leonard would not begrudge this?
Jim had, earlier, been occupied by William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy. Jim was a man who needed distractions. Spock experienced a slight pang that he had caused his mate more tension. Perhaps they were done? He reached out his mind, tentatively, not wishing to interrupt.
Jim?
