Let's do a run-through:

• Laptop dies, and eats a folder with life's work in it.
  
• Bosses' nuts go totally numb.
  
• Another dreadful winter storm comes through, but this time I thwart its evil and stay home.
  
• Winter storm makes the thought of going back to work even worse.
  
• Work piles up--not enough supplies and manpower to catch up.
  
• I threaten work stoppage.
  

Yeah, life is good. And this 'cold' is really hanging on.
