Faster and faster
Life continues to spin faster and faster.
Work: got a few fires burning for new opportunities but these things take time to get the perfect fit. In the meantime, I've been handed what seems like an incredible opportunity where I currently work. My company consists of about seven different sub companies. I manage one of those across Asia Pacific. The head of another sub company consisting of almost a thousand employees has been pushed out and I've been asked (in addition to my current role) to bring the defunct part of the organization back into the fold, back into profitability, and integrated with the rest of the organization. Now, don't ask me how I know how to do this kind of stuff, but it just seems to come naturally, ?? There's a lot of pressure not wanting to let down so many hundreds of people. So, I've committed to take a 'custodian' role to restructure and transform it across APac over the next couple months while these other fires come to fruition. What this also means is that time is going even faster than usual with less time for play.
Personal Life: It has been wonderful having my mother and Bev visit. I threw a little party for them over the weekend and will put a picture up below. Went to John Parrot's citizenship ceremony with Simon which was fun and intriguing. A new petal has turned over and am still getting sea swimming in midweek afternoons and evenings. Would like to have more time/energy to describe some of the things I've seen and experienced recently with the detail I like to write with but it will have to wait a little while perhaps. Anyway, long story short, all is well.
