LJ, a fad that passed?
I was talking with someone online and they were talking to me about how Livejournal's hey day has passed in terms of popularity. While I can see where they're coming from I'd take quality over quantity anyday. While MySpace resembles visual diarrhea in the most obnoxious way, with songs playing you might not be able to turn off combined with a virtual scrapbook with pictures all around plus entries it doesn't work. I'm going to say it's the layout big time, it's so in your face hence my Visual Diarrhea comment. I can make worse comments but I'll refrain. Facebook I might give a look.
Livejournal is a quiet look that is not overwhelming, at least from most people's entries I see. Perhaps the garish look of MySpace has allowed it to accumulate so many people and so much popularity. But I prefer the nice, quiet yet information setup in Livejournal and if you're reading this I suspect you might feel somewhat similar.
