Though, oddly enough, it was also the first time we'd done the groceries in a couple of weeks, and I have no bento to show for it :\ Weird.
Anyway, it was also possibly the first time I'd stayed home on a Saturday for a few weeks too - somehow, staying home on Sundays isn't quite the same. I actually feel a little bit rested, and even worked on my cosplay a bit :D
See?
Got me a roller brush and some paint 8D
Here's something I made earlier... Painted the gloves and made the headdress out of a half-finished skirt XD;;
Cosplay pro-tip: You can buy 4 pairs of white cotton gloves from the Safeway cleaning supplies section for about $4 :D!
I also did a fair bit of lolita-related stuff:
Started on modding the second red case that the Doctor's mum gave me... This one is for me to keep, so it's a lot less sweet than the first one XD I'm at a loss for what to do with the top corners, though - whether I should just have another line of the eyelet lace and gingham ruffle, or whether to have a lace motif or applique or something. Just... not more bows.
I glued all those eeny pearls on the eyelet lace 8D I didn't think it'd make that big a difference, but it really does! And I did sew the pearls on to the bow properly (inspired by the Parakiss manga XD)
I also finally found a pattern for a nice, wide lace for wrist cuffs :D I'm just obsessed with them at the moment, they're so frilly and ... impractical... but... they make me feel pretty :D
