I reached my cellphone's text limit in the previous post so here's a continuation:

Those few government tanks aren't enough for a village of a few hundred households, and so people live at the whims of the inconstant water supply - even the comparatively wealthy can't do much about it and so they spend on large televisions and cars instead. Granted, this problem isn't as acute here as in other places where women and children walk miles to fetch water and carry them on their heads, but its still a pressing one. It's inspiring to talk about social enterprise and having people work with their own community assets to create positive change, but this seems like a problem that we can't do much about without having external support.
