There are certain things that you unconsciously expect to be happening at 2:00 a.m. You expect things like power planet dynamos to be turning, street lights to be changing, and perhaps dogs to be barking. There are things that you don’t expect however. Case in point: You don’t expect your drunken stepfather to be lying in driveway as your mom’s car sits idling in a ditch across the street. But of course this isn’t really something that you would expect at any time of the day or night, but especially not at 2 a.m. Yes, helping your mother guide your drunken stepfather up your rather long driveway at 2 a.m. is not something you would expect, yet it does happen. And fun a fact: it only costs approx $35 dollars for a tow truck to remove a car from a ditch, at 2:00 a.m. And when you have to wake up and go to work at 6:30 in the morning this all seems far less amusing.
