So I Just Discovered YouTube...
I feel I am farther removed from the internet world that I had previously imagined, and while I'm somewhat too high and much too tired to assimilate the site in its entirety and offer a comprehensive response, I did get to watch some disturbing footage of today's news. There are, by my count, at least 5 different versions of Saddam's hanging in 3 mouseclicks or less from the homepage. Each one of these clips is backed by angry american music including (i believe?) a nickleback song? Really...really must we americans try and one up the world by being that much more the assholes EVERY TIME.
is that truly necessary? regardless of your opinions on the man, his regime, his country, the war/"freedom mission" or anything even mildly buzzword hot topic worthy of commentary....a man is being put to death. Of any reaction possible..."cool! 10 points!" is really not the one you want to be guilty of harboring.
its so safe and happy in my videogame world.
but this is how the Rx generation will be remembered: I'm so hardcore I rock out even during executions, man! But...only 2 minutes at a time, 'cause I can't really pay attention for much longer than that without another ader-ader-aderol.
So I suppose the question is are you satisfied now?
