you are the definition of unconditional love.
there is nothing greater than that.
there is no one greater than you.
we are nothing.
& still we are everything.
how can i show you, we have everything?
how can i crawl inside the strength i know still exists
and fight this part for you?

i'm emotionally charged and have a habit
of slipping into vivid memories;
all of which include our careless
reckless abandon and indifference to
those who challenged our idea to take over the world.
this is still our world.
and i won't let them/it/whateverthefuckitis have it.

i still have hope, and believe in beauty.
i've watched flowers come back with the right care.
but you are more than a flower, more than a bird,
you've got more than roots and wings..
you've got more than a destiny.
i'll still come knocking long after midnight,
never before were we afraid to break the rules..
never again will i underestimate that power.

and for now i will sit here,
in the dark quiet corner of my heart
waiting for clarity, peace.
forgive me, but
i love you, & i can't give up just yet.
