oh the driving diaries of s. chain

so i am doing my thing, driving along 116 on the way home from school. i am not in any particular rush, i am doing about forty mph. the person behind me doesnt really agree with me, and therefore is riding my ass as if there is a magnetic attraction. but hey, thats okay because i am in an alright mood, so i just focus on the road ahead of me. i pass wooster, and barrack, and see my turn: mapleshade. so i am braking, turn-signaling with about twenty yards to go, and i am thinking that i probably have enough time to make it before the oncoming car would hit me, but i think maybe i'll wait. so i am sitting, waiting, for perhaps a split second before i hear the melodious sound of squealing tires. i check my rearview mirror, and i see the tailgater breaking like no other, with really awful-smelling smoke coming from its tires. and i am like what the fuck mate, because while i will admit i am not the most stellar of drivers [ie i often brake too quickly or forget to signal] i really did okay on this preparation for the mapleshade turn. well this guy brakes in time, and thoroughly angrified, shouts something out his window as he passes.

but seriously? because i signaled. i braked in plenty of time.
i think he was just not paying attention.
dumb adults.
