[It's past midnight and into the morning hours, well after and well before anyone should be awake in Sakana - but the door to the apartment's front office opens, and someone walks in. It's Isabel. She makes her way to the kitchen and grabs herself a drink from the fridge, sampling it as she flips the light on and slams the door shut. The noise isn'

*The slamming of the door may not of been loud enough to wake the whole apartment, but it IS enough to attract one of the few things that IS around at the ungodly hour.
Isabel, you now have Winged Kuriboh buzzing around you, with a worried look on it's face*

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel seems on guard first, but she relaxes when she realizes it's just Winged Kuriboh.]

"Geez, it's just you..." [She lets out a sigh.] "What - did owlhead send you to check up on me or something?"

[hero_spirits]

*Winged Kuriboh shakes it's head, the best a Kuriboh can anyway, before it starts flying around Isabel again, occasionally squeaking. It seems quite focused on her injuries*

[sees_the_sea]

[She lightly waves a hand, not really trying to force it away, but trying to move it just the same.] "It's fine. I'm fine."

[hero_spirits]

*Winged Kuriboh isn't convinced. It flies away, but only to the top of the fridge. Moments later, something falls from the top of it and crashes to the floor. When you look, you notice it's a first aid box that Winged Kuriboh is now trying to open, apparently with great difficulty*

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel bends down and takes it. She inspects the box, and shakes her head.] "Not necessary. I'm fine. Really."

[hero_spirits]

Winged Kuriboh looks up at her, looking concerned again as it begins to pace on the floor a little.
Suddenly, it's face seems to light up and very quickly, it flies up and out of the kitchen.
That didn't look like a face that had given up.*

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel scratches her head as she watches the little Duel Spirit leave.]

"Sheez...where the hell's she going?"

[i_like_red]

*Your question is answered when you hear a door opening and closing a few doors up from the kitchen, moments afterwards, followed by a very sleepy sounding, but familiar voice*

Aiiibou, what did you get me up at this time for...? Is something wrong...? There's something in the kitchen you want me to see...?

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel hears a door open and close - she's been living here long enough that she's pretty sure she knows where it's coming from too. She lets out a low curse as she leans on the counter in front of her, giving Juudai only a quick look before she looks away. She doesn't say anything to him.]

*Juudai looks into the kitchen and is able to get a quick glance at some of the injuries on Isabel's face before she looks away*

Isabel...?

*He walks into the kitchen towards her, Winged Kuriboh following close behind him*

Isabel... what happened to you?

[sees_the_sea]

"Same thing I told her - nothing. I'm fine." [She sounds a little bit forceful by the end of that sentence.]

[i_like_red]

*Juudai's expression chances slightly to a more sterner look as he moves to stand right next to Isabel.*

She's worried about you, and to be honest, I am too.
How did you get these injuries?

[sees_the_sea]

"What's it matter? I told you, I'm fine."

[i_like_red]

*Juudai sighs and rubs his head in slight frustration.*

Isabel. You've not been fine ever since that last match.
I know you feel disappointed, I understand that. I'd feel like that too if it was me.
If there's something bothering you about it just... talk to me about it! Or someone! Anyone! Just don't be so defensive and start pushing people away!

[sees_the_sea]

[Isabel slams a fist on the counter before Juudai's even done talking. Afterwards, she puts her first in her hand, implying she hurt it on the counter. When she speaks, she sounds on-edge.]

"You don't understand a single fucking thing, so why don't we stop pretending that you do."
