Someone should write a thesis that somehow involves those little paper umbrellas.

So yesterday I got drunk. The story would have ended there had I not then gotten hungry. I decided that since it was my one day off that I would actually cook something. Nothing too complicated, just some scalloped potatoes and summer sausage. I decided that even in my current state that it would be safe for my to use the stove. At the risk of losing a fingertip or two, I made Josh cut up the sausage. So everything's going well, no cuts, no burns, and I was in my happy place. Until I moved away from the stove and to the sink, where I somehow knocked the knife off the counter, and lacking reflexes of any kind, stabbed myself in the foot. It hurt my pride more than anything to be honest. I think a part of my mind actually realized what was happening, but decided it would be fun to see what happened.

Feel freee to come and stay a few days.

For those of you that don't already know, I've been working as a waitress in this sushi restaraunt since the end of May. It is uber tasty. In the seven odd weeks that we've been open, we've had twelve waitresses come and go. Most of them just didn't show up the next day. We've also gone through 4 kitchen guys and 1 nut job posing as a chef. We've been running on 1 sushi chef and 2 kitchen people.

I've had several people come in thinking that we had a full service wet bar.

I hate it when we're really busy and people just walk in and sit down - at a dirty table no less - and wonder why we don't serve them right away. Also, apparently most people can't understand why there might be a wait. It's the same ones that will wait an hour to eat at an Olive Garden, but when they wander in from the bar across the street and seven on a friday night and don't immediately get to eat, they get pissy and cheap.

Also, just today at lunch we had a woman walk out because after she sat herself at a dirty table ( there were clean one open too...) one of the waitresses asked her if she would stand up for a minute so the table could be reset. She didn't say anything. Just walked out.

Be nice., It's alot more stressful than it looks. I promise.
