one guy in Tanzania is very happy.
When we were in Stonetown, Zanzibar (Tanzania) we saw a tree with Obama's picture hanging on it. Our tour guide told us that that was the "Obama Tree" and that the young man who sat beneath it was supporting Obama. He couldn't vote, since he wasn't a US citizen, but he was being very vocal and I guess he hoped to have a political career similar to Obama.
On our trip to Africa, everyone we met was pretty eager to talk politics with us. We saw bumper stickers in Nairobi supporting Obama. We saw graffiti on walls in support of the man. From our conversations with people, I think we made the world pretty happy with our choice. I am. :)
