Glad you're enjoying this. It's a little different for me juggling so many darned balls, I was afraid I'd dropped a few along the way

I love all the imagry. I love all the little moments, plucked here and there, from their childhood.
It's easy to get stuck in one place when thinking about them as kids - that their relationship was always something static, but it wouldn't have been. They would have loved each other and been annoyed with each other and been in each other's way and been there for each other.... I love the mixture you've come up with here, these discrete little bubbles of time that still seem very fluid.
Can't wait for Part 2!
Thank you for taking my little idea and making it into such a big story!

So glad you like the variety. I wanted to show that family, and love is a push-me, pull-you, back and forth between love, and hate, and annoyance and all the shades in between.
And your little idea was great - it send my imagination everywhere! Thank you for that.

I can't answer that until part two has dropped Oh, part 2 has dropped - need to go read!
I wanted to show...
And you did. I love all the little vignettes, like little pieces in a big puzzle. Nothing is simple, nothing is black and white - it's interesting to see all the shades in between.
And it's difficult to show those and still keep the boys true to canon. You've done a good job with that - not once did this feel like an au, not once did I wonder which was Sam and which was Dean, or how their behavior related to behavior we've seen from them on the show.
And your little idea
It was a little idea - I honestly thought you might write a few paragraphs, a few hundred words and that would be that. Back in the day, I'm sure I could have seen more to such a little idea, but that's one reason why I can't write anymore - and that's why I appreciate folks like you who can see big things in such little ideas!
Not only that, but you used *my* idea - that's so cool! You are so cool. Thank you!

Very glad you think I've captured the boys voices. Was trying very hard to keep focussed on it being them so you could see how they grew and changed yet stayed the same over the years.
*blushes* I've never been cool before. Awesome!
