Here - sort of
Haven't had any power at home since mid-morning Friday.
So, thank you to the evil storm gods who ripped away my ability to download part 2 of the latest SPN ep. Grrrr. I want to know what happened!!!
Yes, the river did end up flooding my street Friday night. Luckily for me (and unluckily for the people down below me), the water peaked 2 properties down the hill. Urk. Everyone in the street stayed up all night helping sandbag and evacuating our neighbours while we prayed our turn wasn't next.
Last night's wild winds didn't eventuate. Not in my area anyway. Though it is getting a little blowy outside now. Hope it isn't the predicted 90-100km winds that have just taken the long way around. Maybe it's just the edge of the storm and all else will be well.
So, I'm still here. Just not at home. I'm presently at a friend's several suburbs away borrowing her power to charge my phones, laptop etc, do washing, use her freezer to store food, and cook some meals to take home. She also very kindly let me borrow her internet connection for the rest of the afternoon.
Hence this very quick post to tell you I didn't quite get washed away.
If I get power tomorrow I'll get stuck into any outstanding comments from you all that I need to reply too. Have a cookie while you wait.
There will also be fic to bore yourselves with later if I can get the last of my edits transcribed off paper and into the last draft I had on the laptop before the battery went cinq pouf.
Hang in there. Fic is coming. A fic I almost thought I would have to stick in a plastic bag between my teeth while I waded it out to civilisation to post!

And it's a 2-parter. Oops. How did that happen?
Yes, it is the much talked about S is for Winchester. My muse and I didn't think we'd get it done in time (we've been working on this sucker for months between other things.)
It's something a little different. A series of 19 small, tiny, and some medium separate stories/glimpses (with some embedded index graphics) into the Winchesters as told in a flashback at the end of episode 3.16. *crosses fingers that it works*
But next I need to make a special post for TB...
Then I'll be back later with the fic. Typingtypingtyping as sainted friend hands me more coffee, bless her for knowing exactly what I needed!
