Hmm that sounded depressing, except for the fact that I adore rain. *Shakes hand at sky*
"Bring it on down."
Still plugging on with fic, though had unintentionally depressing phone conversation with my beta late last night, and now all moody and pouty about fate of the nun fic. Maybe she is right and I should jut put it away for a few weeks, concentrate on other fic, and come back to it afresh next month. Don't know what to do. Want to get it OUT OF MY BRAIN!!!!!
Had one of those completely boring, lingering days at work where everything just dragged. Trust me when surrounded by spreadsheets and decaying maps you want the day to go fast. Thought end would never come, then finally the clock ticked over and I trooped outside to find it was pouring. Perked up immediately at my favourite weather, at least until I realized I'd left my umbrella safely in my car a good ten minute walk away. Oh well, if I'd dragged it to work with me that would have scared away the rain, and we are still in the middle of a monumental drought. So, I got wet, and (as usual) loved walking in the rain. Just a pity I was off home and not going for a nice romantic stroll somewhere with someone gorgeous who also loved the rain (I can dream can't I?).
Got home, blitzed the kitchen again with more cooking for the incoming visitors. All done now. Just have to do quick surface clean tomorrow and I'm ready. Tired now though!
Tomorrow I have to get up early and drag self, and neck to the chiropractor, and then the hairdresser (help - I want to look like - oh anyone cool, I'm not particular).
And I have to fic in between stuff. Still trying to finish last scene of the Fate fic. Fought me all through my lunch hour, damn it's pesky ficish eyes. Got to nail it tonight and get back to finishing S is for Winchester. Two have to be done with weekend regardless of visitors.
Damn lucky I bought fresh coffee beans last night. *wanders off to make a plunger all for herself and wonders if anyone will notice if she sneaks one of the lemon poppyseed biscuits she made yesterday for the visitors*
