A mari usque ad mare - Epilogue (14/14) 858/28,777 of R rated Gen (with an edge of subtext) crack!fic in which Dean revisits his past in unexpected ways. (Down By The Seaside)
I love this...the last 3 chapters really caught me up and dragged me along.
Love Mary in this and her gestures over her boys/babies. And Dean speaking/listening to Sam while hugging Mary. Will comment more extensively but had to post this now :-) Hugs!
So not a total washout?seerargentApril 22 2008, 20:49:52 UTC
Heh. Sorry, all the water metaphors are still clogging up my drain brain (see!)
Glad you liked the epilogue. Was hoping it worked to haunt people as well as tie things up and made people think (and then go back and reread and notice some of the subtler layers - it's meant for two readings to make you view some of the events differently - part of the I wrote this to be read 5 different ways thing. More on that later). And thanks for the hugs, just what I needed mid-week.
Thank you! Well, Dean might have just made enough difference to change that future, you never know. But if they don't get to die together on the show we'll all be wanting to lynch Kripke. I for one will be leading that charge. I live for the angst and suffering, but I want those boys not to do into the dark alone.
Sorry, still snorting over your pic. heh. Yup, Winchesters have to go out together with a bang, like the final episode of Blakes 7 from way way back in time. I want danger, love, heroism, self-sacrifice, and to me in tears for months afterwards. ::wanders off to stock up on tissues just in case she gets her wish::
I just finished your story and have to say I really enjoyed it. Wonderful job! I love the combination of crack, drama and brotherly love. Just perfect!
