I am so excited I was able to be apart of this election. Not only was this my first time voting, but this is now the first time an African American has been elected president. I am so proud to call myself an American and live in America where something like this can happen. We've been long overdue for an event like this, and I am proud to be able to see it manifest itself. Plus, it goes to show that the racial divide in American is thinner than we though! YAY FOR RACIAL EQUALITY!!!! :)
In other news -- bitching news rather -- my sociology class was horrible today. I hate going to this class because I want to punch every kid in the face. I don't know how this happened, but by some strange phenomenon, my class is filled with the sissy kids I have ever seen. First off, our teacher is going for his PhD in Sociology -- so he's pretty goddamn smart in his area. However, he has no knowledge on how to teach, so there isn't the same connection you get with an instructor who has the experience and the variety of knowledge it takes to educate other people. So, I mean, there are no fuzzies in this class and it's pretty rigid. Our teacher is a sociologist who deals in numbers, comparisons, and studies. The class consists of a lot of statistics and figures. The only points we recieve in the class are for the 4 assesment tests we take throughout the semester. Anywho, the whole class bombed the first test. Our class average was a D. It was pretty sad, but I totally didn't study at all for it and wasn't prepared (which is why my grade sucked balls). My teacher doesn't really teach that well in class, but that isn't all his fault. My classmates bitched that he generates the tests from the book and it drew up random information. So, oh well, the first test sucked, but we all now know how the tests are formatted and can study accordingly. Flash foward to present time, our class today was going to be sweet. We just started the 3rd half of information and it consisted of Race and Ethnicity, Gender, Economics & Politics, and Families. Our teacher scheduled these chapters accordingly considering our class was on election day. Unfortunately, because of the return of our second test scores, we spent the whole three hours of class addressing how all the students wanted more points. All they did was complain instead of being active and asking questions about the chapters? Asking questions about the concepts of sociology? Nope. We'll just propose stupid claims and complain and complain. Poop on that.
Anyway, I'm too tired to continue. I don't have faith in my typing or cohesive abilities at the moment, so this may be jarring or illogical -- I'm too tired to care. :)
NIGHT!
