aw yeah old news get.

When Things Get Lovey-Dovey, Rune Factory 4 Zooms In On The Action

This actually makes me wonder if you're still able to woo multiple love interests without any consequences. I just liked to max my relationship levels with everyone, okay. I mean, you're no longer jumping into marriage instantly (or whenever you decided to propose).

Also, the in-game models look really nice this time around, especially when looking at previous instalments. But that's only natural.

It took a fair amount of time, but Chantelise is practically here. Seriously, the demo wasn't even out until a few days ago, and the website's still being worked on.

I basically went in blind (only really knowing that it was from EasyGameStation, because Recettear), but it's definitely fun. Admittedly, it's probably going to take time for me to get used to running through 3D dungeons (on a computer, anyway), compared to Recettear’s 2D, and this one has a jump action.

This also means flying enemies. And possible platforming the only one I did was optional.

I'm not particularly good at either one, but that could also be due to using the keyboard only. It seems to be the type where a controller would make things much easier, especially as the camera doesn't follow you, and hitting/holding down V can be kind of awkward in the middle of battle.

In other news; the town fountain amuses me greatly. I could run around that thing forever. Can't jump high enough to the top though.

I'm also still here and there over Black Night, though it's kind of surprising to realise that it started back in 2009. I... haven't even finished the first chapter, oops.

Well, all that aside, I think I've finally managed to get the character designs down, which is something to be proud of, I guess. Maybe. It's also a reminder that a couple of characters are really underdeveloped and I can't leave them like that forever.

Also, after putting it off for forever, I finally managed a new picture for the main menu screen (the old one looking like this);

Proper colouring to come later. And I'm now trying to work out what the background should actually look like. Yeah, I don't know.

I probably should throw myself back into that, but two years from the initial idea pretty much means things have changed. Relocating my old notes is going to be hell. And I'm lazy.

In terms of writing, it's all just original pieces right now. Nothing really exciting in that corner. Art isn't really anywhere either. I guess I'm just taking a break from things and doing whatever.

Uheayeah, might try and do something productive now, because Chantelise is bound to eat my soul when it comes out.

and I was finally able to finish editing this post. it only took three days because livejournal.

visual novel, video, aaaaaaa, video games, brb. gaming forever, = rune factory, external linking, original, = chantelise
