(no subject)
so, today consisted of walmart, best buy, and amish country!! yeah...what can i say, there's not really a whole lot to do out in the middle of nowhere, missouri. recently i've been thinking about getting a nice digital camera for college, etc. plus just to have one of my own, so that's really the only reason we went to best buy. i think i've narrowed what i want down to four cameras: the panasonic dmc-tz1, the sony dsc-n2, the sony dsc-w70, and the sony dsc-t50. the n2 and the t50 are ridiculously expensive, but they both have touch screens which is really intriguing to me, though that would mean that you would need to keep cleaning the screens to keep all that extra oil and shit off. the salesman at best buy really recommended the tz1 and the w70, which i was looking at along with the t10, and the tz1 has some really impressive image stabilization, at least from first glance. he called the w70 the "best deal in cameras" since it's a lot less expensive than, say, the $500 t50 (which was in casino royale, bee tee dubs) and still has 7.2 MP and takes quality shots. plus added features like preset scenes (which i probably would never use, but who knows). the n2 is definitely my favorite right now, though. it has a paint function on the camera which is UNBELIEVABLY TIGHT, so you can mess around with any picture you've taken, adding colors and stamps like snowflakes and music notes. plus all the boring stuff like triangles, squares, circles, etc. so.........now i just need to decide how much to try and wheedle out of my parents/grandma for christmas, and see what i'll actually get.
oh, my grandma also said "lighted" today, as in "the whole park is lighted up at night" thanks, missouri. on the plus side, i met a guy with a forrest gump accent yesterday, and the whole time he was talking i was just sitting there going "OH MY GOD ITS FORREST GUMP!!"
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand no i haven't heard, and i won't find out until the 26th when we've picked up our mail after christmas. so you can stop asking.
PS my dad called my little brother "kevin" today and the teenage mutant ninja turtles were in BOTH of the crosswords i did!!
