"Is it misbehaving?" Jake stood in the doorway, a small smirk in his face. "Else what did the poor pen ever do to you?"
"It existed," came the petulant reply. "What do you want?"
"You."
The petite brunette spun around in her seat. "Not now, Jake." Not when she had so much to do.
"Yes now." Quickly crossing the room, he tugged her out if the chair. It didn't take much effort, so she was protesting just to be difficult. That was alright, Jake could be difficult too.
"Jacob!" She swatted at his (very nice) chest an annoyed look firmly in place. Smug arse.
He tried to hide the smirk. He could eat her all up. Perhaps he would, tonight in their bedroom. Or the kitchen. Or the bath. Jake wasn't too picky about that sort of thing. "Amanda." The sandy haired man tilted her chin up to capture her mouth.
His hands slid down to her hips as Jake began to sway to music only he could hear. "You've been chained to the desk all day. Go upstairs and put on your favorite dress and heels," the latter would eventually be slipped off in favor of ease and comfort, this he knew, "and we'll go out."
Mandy looked up into the bluest of blue eyes, a funny little look on her face. "You want to take me dancing." Just when she thought there was no hope for him, he did something like this.
"In a manner of speaking." He spun her out before bringing her back close to his body, a hand cupping her cheek. "On second thought, just the way you are is enough to drive me crazy." A silent wave of his hand had the wireless turning on, the low notes of the
jazzy song filling the silence of the room. "You. Me. Music. What more do we need?"
What more indeed. While she would have liked to go out dancing, been taken out dancing, this was just as well. "Nothing." Mandy smiled, standing on her toes to peck a kiss to his lips. "Absolutely nothing."
