Consider Alice's situation as yet another reason why we should make haste to find the way out of here.

The Queen is simply toying with us. It was foolish to think saving Alice would be that easy.

I feel sorry for the girl, but signs were far too convenient to be anything but a game. The Queen only wanted to prove how helpless we are against her whims.

If we're going to win this war, we'll have to do it on our own terms.

How helpless that girl was. I am far from helpless - nothing could ever make me scream like that, or surrender so easily. She'll have to try harder if she thinks she can intimidate the likes of me.

But something is obvious - our primary shouldn't just be finding a way out, but to also kill this Queen. Even if we were to get out, she might be able to snatch us back the same way.

And I as well. I've been to the depths of Hell, and if Odette couldn't break me then nothing this so-called Queen can do will, either.

If we can kill the one who controls this world, surely the escape will reveal itself. But death does not work normally here, you should know. If the dead will return, what is there to stop the Queen from returning as well?

... That may be true. So, perhaps, in order to kill her, the very workings of death and revival should be looked into here. Exactly how and why those who are dead return to life, and now to stop it.

Testing that might be frowned upon, but there has to be a way. Something in this world is tying us here.

...I have a contract with the Queen of Death. It is she who gives me my power. To defeat one who cheats death, perhaps the power of death itself may be of use.

Testing will be a last option. The last thing I need is everyone here after my blood. What I'm after for now is word of mouth and documentation.

I'll keep that in mind. As for me, age and illness are not a factor, and only the most powerful magic can end my life. Time is nothing to me.
