[Since arriving in Luceti a few days ago, Yumeji had spent his time keeping quiet (aside from being distracted by talk of a party earlier today). He was incredibly unsure and sceptical of the village, especially of the residents. So, he found himself an empty apartment and began his watch over the journals, making notes as he went along. He'd heard ( Read more... )

Nope. I've asked myself and everyone's told me it's not.

[She totally doesn't realize who she's talking to, kind distracted by the drawing and writing]

How long were you working on this?

[That voice... sounds incredibly familiar, but it couldn't be.]

Figures, can't I just pretend it is?

Oh, and I guess about ten minutes. Not long anyway.

Um, I guess you can. No one said you couldn't pretend.

[...you know, this person sounded familiar too]

Hmm. I don't know about parties, but there is a group called the Third Party.

The Third Party? [He's sure he saw that mentioned in the guide. Aren't third parties usually people who produce things for other people, like video games for a console?]

What do they do?

That was my thought when I arrived. If it's a dream, it's a very long one. I've been here two months myself now and others have been here years.

People have been here for years? [He doesn't like the sound of that.]

Does that mean it's true, we can't go back home? Do we have a choice?

There are people who have gone back home, but it isn't known how they did it. Going home is definitely something we have no control over at this time.

But that means it is possible! If we don't have control over it, then why not try to find out why?

It's a pretty long dream if it's one.

Are you one who's been here for years then?

About half a year now. Still sucks.

You still miss being home then, even after living here for so long?

I've never had a dream that actually hurt before...

Oh! You can experience pain whilst you're dreaming! Usually when you wake up you just have this sort of 'sensation', like your body remembers it was injured but there isn't actually one there.

You can? I've woken up with my arm feeling all funny before, but I think that was because I slept on it wrong. I didn't know you could actually feel pain in dreams.

It's complicated to explain. But if you can imagine feeling pain, then there's no reason you wouldn't be able to feel pain in a dream.

Yes, it would be. Dreams shouldn't last this long.

Dreams can feel like hours long, but only last for a few minutes! There's no real sense of time when it comes to dreaming.

But yeah... it'd be nice if it was a dream though.

It would be. I don't have the time to be visiting other worlds. If these Malnosso wanted me here so badly, they should have sent a brochure and let me make up my own mind.

I don't think it's that simple. Luceti doesn't seem like a holiday resort, more like a prison.
