2 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3 “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6 “You shall not murder.
7 “You shall not commit adultery.
8 “You shall not steal.
9 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10 “You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”"
where does that say not to feel anger?
he could take away sin and still give us free will... and why would he let murderers run free, healthy, and happy, but let people that go to church and believe in god and ask for forgiveness any time they sin, even if it is something little, get cancer or die in car accidents when they get hit by drunk drivers, but let the drunk driver walk away unharmed... and what about babies that get cancer or just die... they didn't even have time to sin, much less try to believe in god... how do you explain that? and i guarantee that even if you hadn't prayed when you lost your hamsters you would have found them... what are you going to say the time it gets out and you pray and it never shows up? are you going to say it was god saying it was time for it to die? and i just want any physical proof. i can't just believe with all of the bad stuff that happens to people that don't deserve it...

And honestly, how could you still have free will without sin? It's a fallen world... everything would have to be perfect in order for that to be a reality. But it's beyond my comprehension on why God couldn't just do this now instead of waiting. But I am not God and do not presume to know everything or His intentions. I do get impatient, because I am tired of having to deal with people constantly making me feel like my faith is in vain, or that because I refuse to write about sex or homosexuality, that it makes me less of a writer and a crappy human being.
However, I do have the hope of Heaven. Instead of believing in evolution to where all of humanity is basically doomed to die, I go for the much happier ending where there is life. Because it's real easy to say, "Well, I don't care what happens to the earth because I won't be alive to see it." But that kind of attitude makes it seem like a person doesn't want to care about their children... or anyone's children who would have to face such thigns.
And honestly, I had a moment tonight where I thought my little hamster was going to die. He's definitely outlived his life expectancy and dying is just part of life. I prayed and prayed for my hamster to get better and he did. It all happened within a few minutes. But if my hamster had died, I wouldn't blame God at all. Nothing can replace my hamster and naturally I'd be sad. But is it wrong for me to say, "Well, it was his time."?
I'm afraid that if your heart is set into disproving God's existence, no amount of physical proof is ever going to make a difference to you. Until you can open your heart to the concept that there is a God out there, you'll be on a mission to disprove everything. All the proof I have for God's existence I see every day of my life. And it's because I choose to see this proof. It's okay to question the proof, but again, I don't need to see it anymore, I just have faith that He's who He says he is.
And you may say that people don't deserve what happens to them and you know, yeah I don't feel like I deserved the treatment I got from my work. I don't feel like I deserve getting harassed for believing in prehistoric creatures while at the same time getting shunned because I won't write homoerotic-centric stories. I don't deserve getting headaches and I don't deserve the sorrow that I get in having several pathological fears that I cannot control. I don't deserve someone trying to deny that my existence as well as the animals I love isn't a miracle. But mostly, I don't deserve the love that God has given me or the forgiveness.
But I know that He does love me because I can feel it. I feel His presence in my life. I see the teachings in everything I watch and everything I read. God is with us.
