So. i called them this morning. They can fix everything. But I have to pay to send it back. Since I’ve already proven my American citizenship I don’t have to resend my birth certificate. But I do have to send some form of official document that shows my birth date. I decided to send my birth certificate anyway, cause Goddess knows I can’t afford any more foul ups. I mailed everything off via 2 day priority mail on my way to the dentist. (another $4.55)
Yeah, today was the day I was getting my tooth pulled. It shattered into several pieces. The dentist had to cut my gum in a few places so he could get all the pieces out. I didn’t know any of this since I had my eyes closed & my hands tightly squeezed together while I listened to both my heart pounding in my ears and my dentist singing to me. Yep, that’s right, he sang to me. I’m about to have a heart attack so as he calmly works, he’s singing along to every tune that came on their satellite radio. He knows I’m terrified of dentists in general, drills in particular, and I’m stuck there with a tooth that has shattered while he’s pulling it. He even sang the instructions to the assistant. When he wanted suction, or some other type of instrument of torture, he sang it out with the tune. He was great. When he did final speak it was to say to me: “it’s out, but I have to stitch the hole closed. I needed to cut the gum away to dig out all the pieces so I need to stitch the hole closed. I just didn’t want you to be scared if you opened your eyes and saw me using a needle and thread. I don’t know if that is a problem for you or not. So I wanted you to know before I started”. I just nodded at him. I mean half my face was numb. What else was I gonna do? So I go back next week to get the stitches removed. But I have the greatest dentist EVER!
Hopefully I’ll get my passport back within a week by the time I get my stitches out. We’ll have to see.
Now I’m off to bed to sleep off my numbness.
