Mostly sunny and WARM with a breeze.
KZ arriving with McDonald's breakfasts in bag. Laughter around the table.
The 3 of us off to find a parade-watching spot in the shade an hour and a half early. Great people-watching with occasional quickie conversations.
A Nice parade, but both "marching bands" were resting as they went by us, and all we got was drumming--good drumming, but I wanted BRASS! We did get the Police Pipe Band playing as they marched past us, bagpipes and drums with spinning thumpers and everything.
"Cars 2" matinee. Fun.
Home and Minnesota Public Radio is playing Great American Music: "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" from "Oklahoma", some "Saving Private Ryan" soundtrack, Robert Preston with "We've Got Trouble", and more, including classical-style music that I can't identify. Time to wind down.
One lopsided rectangle of sunburn above my left knee, pinkness on my left forearm, and definite pink where the new, sequined tank top dips lower than my old ones. All-in-all, not bad for pale-skinned Dutch girl after most of the middle of the day in the sun.
Such a fine day.
