A wild mishmash of robin, cardinal, finch, and unidentifiable-to-me birdsong flew in through my dining room window a few minutes ago. Clearly the catbird indulged in celebrating another morning

Have a lovely day, Val!! The stalks for my Anastasia Lilies are approaching 7 feet tall. I expect I'll have blooms in a couple of weeks.
I may be offline for a bit ... When I came home last night, Georgie was chewing/gumming my charger cord for the laptop. It was already frayed, but the end that plugs into the lap top was snapped off and in his mouth. It had to have just happened before I walked in ... We've never noticed the catbird hanging around here before. But they are definitely staying this summer. Sorry to hear that your birdsong is on a bit of a hiatus. Hopefully all those hungry little fledglings will soon join the bird chorus and you'll be overwhelmed with lovely song.

Yup. That's my last lily. Now the hosta blooms need to open. But I do need more mid-to-late summer and autumn bloomers. Maybe next year.
Sorry. I forgot to cross 'em by the time I finished typing! I'm getting old and forgetful, ya know. *mutters into her coffee as she wanders into the next room looking for ... something*

Neil, our furry friends teach us lesson after lesson. Welcome to the club!
I'm looking forward to photos of your Anastasia Lilies! But are you CERTAIN "Amazonian Lilies" might not be a more appropriate name?

Your catbirds sound like characters!
Our birds have gone rather quiet at the moment. Too busy stuffing food into fledglings to have the energy for much singing.
