Last night I went to my first gay club: Pegasus, in Pittsburgh. I went with Kate, Brent, Matt and this other guy....who I don't remember his name
( Read more... )
a story.....
so once upon a time i took my swedish roomie from the dorms (anna) to a "gay" club in okc called the wreck room
because once a week they have a drag show (really a very good one)
it was an interesting experience
everyone there seemed really young
it was filled with highschool kids (gettin their girl girl guy guy freak on)
and i have to admit that was the strangest part
i couldn't believe that everyone there was so young
made me wonder lots of things.....about if they knew what they were doing...reasons for their current decisions on sexuality and the like...how much of it was trendiness
and i'll just go ahead and say that i think your sexuality is most likly not something you have fully discovered at 16....
and i know there will still be things i will find out about myself when i am 30
so please excuse my sentiment that people can't make a decision like that whenever they please
but i think a lot of development of sexuality comes with age...(or experience i guess)
and there should be more label free space for people to move around as they please
i still claim that the basis for liking/loving someone should be based on who they are not on their gender...
end of story being...show was good, club was alright, anna wanted earplugs, and i didn't really enjoy watching so many people grow up infront of me (i guess that says something about me)
