awww, thank you so much!!!! and i *think* i used a tutorial on #76, but changed a few parts and left out a couple of layers. however, i cannot locate the tut anymore (and it's driving me nuts) but i still have the psd file i did from that tutorial and i tried to remake the icon. now since i used a tutorial myself, it doesn't seem right to write a new full tutorial but i can write a mini tutorial right here =)
ok, so that cap happened to be very light (for an spn one) so it might not work on all caps.
#1- curves layer RGB 1st point input: 56 output: 78
#5- a colour fill layer #180202 set to exclusion 100%
#6- levels layer RGB input: 18 / 1,10 / 255
if the icon looks too dark/red/whatever then duplicate the bottom layer and set to screen and then play around with the opacity.
here's the original and what i got after doing all of the above:
> (remake)
it's similar but not quite the same. to mute the colours a bit more i added another colour fill layer filled with #180000 set to exclusion 20% and just for reference here are all three together so you can see (or maybe not see) the difference..

it's still not quite the same, the original is a bit more yellow-ish but i am completely blacked out when it comes to that icon, i seriously cannot remember what i did exactly so i hope this still helps.
